These are the Website Design Launceston terms for using this website and for the work I do. I have kept them short and plain so you know exactly where you stand before any work starts.

About these terms

Who they apply to

Website Design Launceston is a sole trader business run by Nick Fritzkowski in Launceston, Tasmania. These terms apply to anyone using this website and to every client who accepts a quote. If something in a written quote differs from these terms, the quote wins for that job.

Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

Quotes and payment

How a website job is paid for

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date they are sent
All prices on this website include GST
A deposit is paid before any work starts and books your job in
The balance is paid before the website goes live
Domain names, hosting and any paid plugins or stock images are extra unless the quote says otherwise
Changes outside the agreed scope are quoted separately before I do them

Content and ownership

What you supply and what you own

You supply the content for your site, such as text, photos, logos and business details, unless the quote includes copywriting. You confirm you have the right to use everything you supply. Delays in getting content to me can push the go live date back.

Once the job is paid in full you own your website and your domain name. You get full admin access to WordPress and Elementor. Third party themes, plugins and fonts stay under their own licences.

Maintenance, SEO and ads

Ongoing plans and how to stop them

WordPress maintenance plans run month to month and need 30 days notice to cancel
Local SEO plans run month to month with no lock in contract
Google Ads management runs month to month after a minimum term, which is 6 months on the Basic plan and 3 months on the Essentials and Business plans
The Basic Google Ads plan has a $480 setup fee and the larger plans have an optional takeover fee for existing accounts
Ad spend is paid directly to Google and is separate from my management fee
Monthly plans are invoiced in advance and are not refunded for part months

Rankings and results

What I can and cannot promise

I do the work carefully and report on it honestly, but nobody controls Google. I cannot guarantee any ranking position, amount of traffic or number of enquiries from SEO, Google Ads or a new website. Anyone who promises a guaranteed number one spot is not being straight with you.

Search engines change how they work, competitors change what they do and results take time. I will always explain what I am doing and why.

Liability and using this site

The fine print kept short

To the extent the law allows, my total liability for any claim relating to my work is limited to the fees you have paid me for that work. I am not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data. Keeping your own copies of important content is always a good idea.
