WordPress Maintenance Launceston

Updates, backups and security checks so your website keeps running smoothly

A WordPress site is a bit like a car. It runs better and lasts longer when it is serviced regularly. My plans for WordPress maintenance in Launceston keep your site updated, backed up and watched for trouble.

Why WordPress Sites Need Looking After

Small updates prevent big problems

WordPress, your theme and your plugins all get regular updates. Most fix bugs or close security holes that hackers have found. When those updates are skipped for months, the site becomes an easy target and the longer they are left, the more likely an update is to break something when it finally runs.

Maintenance is the steady, behind the scenes work that stops that happening. Updates are applied carefully, backups are taken before anything changes and the site is checked afterwards to make sure it still looks and works right.

Every website I build comes with the first year of maintenance free. These plans take over after that first year. They also suit existing WordPress sites built by someone else. If your site is already in trouble, see hacked website repair.

Which Plan Suits Your Business

A quick guide

Basic suits a simple brochure site that rarely changes and doesn’t take bookings or payments. Essentials adds weekly backups and security scans for sites that get updated more often.

Business is the plan I suggest for anyone who relies on the website for enquiries, bookings or sales. Daily backups mean very little can be lost, uptime monitoring tells me quickly if the site goes down and hack recovery is included, so a cleanup won’t come with a surprise bill. Elite adds daily scans, rank tracking and Cloudflare for busy sites and online shops.

Sites I Didn't Build

Happy to take them on

Plenty of maintenance clients come to me with a site someone else built. Before taking it on I check it over, make sure I have the right logins and take a fresh backup. If it is badly out of date I’ll tell you upfront what is needed to bring it back into shape and if a redesign makes more sense.

I look after WordPress sites for businesses all over Tasmania, from Kings Meadows and Newstead to George Town and Burnie. It is all done remotely, so where you are doesn’t matter.

Who looks after WordPress maintenance for Launceston businesses?

Website Design Launceston provides WordPress maintenance for Launceston businesses, with every site looked after personally by Nick Fritzkowski. Plans run from $19 to $189 a month including GST, cover backups, updates and security and are month to month with 30 days notice. Sites built by other designers are welcome.

WordPress maintenance with Website Design Launceston costs $19 a month for Basic, $59 for Essentials, $99 for Business and $189 for Elite, all including GST. The Business plan includes daily backups, uptime monitoring and hack recovery. There are no lock in contracts and you can cancel with 30 days notice.

Skipping WordPress updates on a Launceston website leaves known security holes open, which is the most common way small business sites get hacked. Old plugins can also stop working with newer versions of WordPress. The longer updates are left, the harder and riskier they become to apply.

Hack recovery is included in the Business and Elite WordPress maintenance plans from Website Design Launceston. If a site on one of those plans is hacked, I clean it up and restore it without an extra bill. Sites on other plans or without a plan can use the hacked website repair service.

A WordPress site built by another designer anywhere in Tasmania can be maintained by Website Design Launceston. I start by checking the site, confirming logins and taking a fresh backup. If anything needs fixing before regular maintenance begins, I’ll explain it and quote it before doing the work.

Every new website from Website Design Launceston includes the first year of WordPress maintenance free, covering backups, updates and a monthly report. After that first year, you can choose a plan from $19 a month or look after the site yourself. Nothing renews automatically without talking to you first.

A Launceston WordPress website should be backed up at least as often as it changes. A simple brochure site can be fine with monthly backups, while a site that takes bookings, orders or regular posts needs daily backups. Backups should be stored away from the website itself so a server problem doesn’t take both.
